kristen meyers rothert is a multimedia artist & writer, making in the name of mental health.

experiencing psychosis her entire life, kristen was diagnosed with schizophrenia in her early 20s & later with schizoaffective disorder. everything she creates is based on lived experience - mainly visual hallucinations - intended to bring awareness to mental health - focusing on psychosis.

kristen hopes to reach others who have experienced psychosis & inspire those to work with their experiences, rather than fight them. she also desires to educate the public by sharing physical representation of her personal experience, helping to break the stigma of mental illness.

kristen works in all mediums - clay to macaroni salad - & in all sizes - micro-miniatures to epic scale monuments. she lives & works in california.
